Communications Assistant: The School of Earth, Environment, and Society

The School of Earth, Environment & Society is excited to announce that we are currently looking for undergrad students to join our new project with Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) as a Communications Assistant. The goal of this project is to provide worldwide leadership in accessibility within the transportation sector.

This opportunity will provide real-world experience in the areas of transportation accessibility, and accessible design systems for software and app development. We are looking to fill positions in the following areas:

  1. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  2. Design considerations for people with disabilities
  3. Development of standardized test cases to support accessibility

Candidates can be from any faculty at McMaster University, but must have completed at least year 2, and be willing to work remotely for 35 hours/week throughout the Spring/Summer term (May to August 2022). Students with a keen interest in advocating for people with disabilities and accessibility are strongly encouraged to apply.
